Royalty free Policy

At Netmaps, all of our maps are royalty free. This means that there is a one off cost for the digital file without having to pay any extra costs for reproduction, reprinting or any other product usage. So you can reproduce the maps as many times as you like! The only thing we ask you for is that you do not sell the digital file in Vectorial format (Freehand/ Illustrator). We also insist that "Netmaps" must appear on the credits of the different utilisation of the maps.

Towards the end of last century, Netmaps understood that it was easy to spread the map market offering a wide range of maps with less limitation of rights. It makes no sense to pay every year for the same map. Our policy was a great idea, and we are proud to say that now many companies offer their maps with the same conditions. Netmaps was the first company in the world to offer royalty free maps and this is one of the reasons for which our clients are from more than 65 different countries. One idea one result!.

The idea of copyright-free mapping is very alien for example in the UK so our clients need to be 100% sure that they would face NO claims for indemnities should they publish our data. In special cases, we have no problem to sign a letter confirming our company policy and that our maps are royalty free. Our worldwide reputation and our share capital (1.570.000 euros) are our best guarantee.
